About the Role
This position will drive and connect between service delivery and field service requests. The Service Advisor will support the Foreman from an administrative and technical perspective to provide advice and guidance to other key roles such as the Service Coordinator.

In this fast paced and rewarding role, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Provide a high quality, cost effective service that exceeds customer expectations and returns nil customer complaints
  • Ensures segments are closed with appropriate parts, labour and miscellaneous booked to the job to ensure accurate customer invoicing
  • Monitor all jobs for quality and efficiency in conjunction with the Service Supervisor
  • Accurately encoding all documentation relevant to the Microsoft AX as required by the Service Supervisor
  • Ensure labour hours have been correctly encoded and that any missing labour hours are accounted for on a daily basis
  • Action tasks relating to outside purchase orders as requested by the Service Supervisor
  • Action tasks relating to Segments in Power BI as requested by the Service Supervisor
  • Prepare and close segments on completion of work
  • Assist in the development of accurate customer estimate repairs when required and is delivered to the customer through AX
  • Responsible to be active with the Caterpillar Production System (CPS) as a team member and demonstrate input to improvements annually.
  • Effectively and accurately manage SIP/WIP and accurately forecast invoicing expectations

About You
You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:
  • Ideally hold a relevant Trade Qualification but not essential
  • Proven and demonstrated experience working within a Frontline service department experience from within heavy mining and construction industries
  • Sound computing skills including good working knowledge of Microsoft AX and Power BI systems
  • In-depth knowledge of Caterpillar machinery and a knowledge of products and services
  • Be able to maintain a high level of workplace health and safety
  • High developed verbal and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on customer experience
  • The ability to work in a fast pace environment and deliver on expectations
