TARANGAU CARAVAN PARK 

Broome, Western Australia Permanent full time

Salary: $74,000 plus accommodation & utilities.

We are a family owned & operated Caravan Park in Broome looking for an experienced Facilities Manager whose duties will include managing our property’s facilities & services. 

This is a hands-on position which includes weekend, public holiday & after hour’s work. You will be required to work & live on-site & accommodation including all utilities is included in your salary package.

Reporting directly to the business owner the successful applicant must be able to demonstrate at least 3 years’ experience in facilities management & maintenance management. You will be responsible for the management of facilities of the caravan park including but not limited to regular maintenance of the equipment for our power water & bore. 

Being able to manage supervise & co-ordinate the work of contractors is an essential requirement also you must be able to manage tenders for contractors in cases of larger investments. The main goal of this role is to ensure the smooth & efficient running of all facilities & services at minimal cost & to ensure the comfort enjoyment & safety of our guests as a priority.

To achieve this goal a continuous maintenance & improvement plan will be required to be developed and implemented by the Facilities Manager. This role has the overall responsibility for hard facilities (utilities fire electrical building maintenance repairs) & soft facilities (cleaning supplies waste security & gardening).

The applicant should possess the following:

 Sound experience in co-ordinating & planning essential services.

 The ability to calculate & compare costs for the required facilities management services.

 Planning skills for future improvements for a mid-term business plan.

 The capacity to manage change & introduce new installations to ensure minimum disruption to the caravan park’s business & especially minimal disruption to in-house guests.

 An understanding of the Statutory requirements & ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations & legislation.

 An understanding of the scope & expertise of various trades.

 Firefighting skills in terms of responding to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise.

 An understanding of the importance of customer service & customer focus.

 A hands-on, “can do” & positive attitude & initiative with sound decision making skills.

 Tertiary qualifications in a related field is desirable.
