About us

The Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI) leads innovation in clinical care across NSW. We do this by bringing clinicians, patients and healthcare managers together to design and implement new ways to deliver healthcare.

What you will be doing

The Mental Health (MH) Network Project Officer will conduct an implementation check of the Virtual Mental Health initiatives funded through the COVID-19 enhancement funding. The MH Project Officer will partner with the Mental Health Branch and Local Health Districts (LHDs) and Speciality Health Networks (SHNs) on this Project.

The Mental Health (MH) Network Project Officer will:

  • Document the VMH clinical activities undertaken by LHDs and SHNs;

  • Identify innovative ways that LHDs and SHNs have:

  • connected clinical settings within and /or across districts and networks to enhance capability to assess and treat mental health clients remotely;

  • connected mental health clinicians to individual mental health clients in community settings; and

  • connected mental health consumers to clinical information and resources;

  • Identify and document ‘exemplar’ clinical models developed with the funding;

  • Produce a Virtual Mental Health Progress Report by 30th June 2021.

Selection criteria

  1. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or demonstrated relevant industry experience.

  2. Demonstrated ability to provide expert advice which is strategic and adds value to the Project at a statewide level.

  3. Demonstrated experience in project management and the implementation of local/regional projects, frameworks and/or initiatives with state-wide application.

  4. High level skills in writing, conceptual and systemic thinking on the successful application of innovative approaches.
