$71,912 to $82,898 per annum

Period of Employment

Permanent, full time, day work, working 76 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible

Please note that part time hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Location

Engineering and Maintenance – North and South

Please note travel will be a requirement in this role 

Duties

Deliver technical services including repairs, planned maintenance, installations and other technology support services to ensure the safety and effectiveness of electronic and/or mechanical medical devices and other oral health technical equipment.

Provide technical support to the Manager - Biomedical Engineering in the evaluation and selection of new dental equipment technologies.

Essential Requirements

  • Current relevant Practitioner's License recognised by the Department of Justice, Tasmania.
  • Current Driver’s Licence.

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

1. Conviction checks in the following areas:

a) Crimes of Violence

b) Sex Related Offences

c) Serious Drug Offences

d) Crimes involving dishonesty

2. Identification check

3. Disciplinary action in previous employment check

Desirable Requirements

  • Advanced Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent
