Your exciting new role:
  • Choose hours and days that suits you – part time or school hours (minimum 3 days) or full time
  • Based in Bunbury with local travel to client’s homes
  • Perform OT assessments in clients’ homes and workplaces with respect to physical, sensory, cognitive and psychological functional need
  • Plan, implement and evaluate person centred care plans and intervention programs
  • Prescribe equipment and recommend modifications including the use of assisted technology
  • Seek and apply for funding that will cover equipment costs
  • Provide advice, education and training to clients and their families
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team and external agencies that are involved with a client’s care
  • Support, train and supervise OTAs, OT students and volunteers

About you:
  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent is essential
  • Able to conduct thorough assessments, create care plans, prescribe equipment and recommend home modifications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with clients and families
  • Must be vibrant, adaptable and have a passion for working with people with neurological conditions
  • Knowledge of NDIS and other funding models is ideal but not essential
