JOB DESCRIPTION

The Supply Chain Lead plays a crucial role in the execution of the Supply Chain strategy and is responsible for planning and coordinating the organisations overall Supply chain and logistics activity. A key part of the role is partnering with key stakeholders across the business to deliver exceptional service to customers, develop key suppliers and maintain cost control.



Client Details

This market leading engineering business is looking to strengthen their Supply Chain team after a record breaking 2020 and need an accomplished Supply Chain Specialist to lead the function as they continue to grow. This role will give you exposure to Global markets and allow you to collaborate with colleagues across the world as the business goes from strength to strength.

Description

  • Develop Supply Chain Plan/Strategy aligned to business objectives to achieve reduced lead time and inventory holding, increased quality and delivery and therefore lowest total cost





  • Conduct risk assessments for all suppliers / products and ensure alternate supply channels are in place to maintain continuity of supply to the customer base.





  • Development of Supply Chain processes documentation / associated procedures to support company objectives.





  • Supervision of purchasing and supply chain resources.





  • Manage / communications with, key stake holders on variations to deliveries / quality etc that may affect the company's ability to meet customer expectations.





Profile



  • Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain and Logistics Management (Bachelor or Master's Level - Desirable)





  • 5+ years' work experience in a manufacturing company





  • 8 - 10 years' experience as a Procurement, Supply Chain or similar field





  • Proven ability to balance strategic vision and pragmatic operations





  • Extensive operational management experience in a similar environment
