The Data & Analytics Partner, a key member of the Roche Innovation Hub, works closely with a cross section of business stakeholders, IT (extending to the Data & Analytics Global Chapter) and external partners to co-create data and analytics enabled solutions that help our organisation to pioneer life changing healthcare for every Australian.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

Identifying business opportunities, architect and deliver data and analytics products through (20%):

  • Defining, running and continuously developing projects and initiatives to identify potential ‘data driven/centric’ business opportunities internally and externally
  • Leading the architecture and technical input from the pharma client side required to scale the patient data ecosystem and align with other cross-functional team members
  • Scouting the external market for potential data partners and solutions within (and outside) the Healthcare Industry

Governance and management of data sets enabling effective and efficient data insight generation through (60%):

  • Ensuring set-up and maintenance of state-of-the-art data structure and technologies to enable effective and efficient data insight generation
  • Identifying business opportunities and works with business and informatics partners to architect, design, prototype and deliver data and analytics products
  • Being the custodian of the affiliate data, including on-going cleanliness of the data and supporting business analysis to ensure reporting requirements represent the needs of the business users
  • Educating the affiliate on the latest relevant data management and analytical techniques and technology.
  • Partnering with third party providers, in an advisory & consulting capacity, to integrate the planned new interface with diverse clinical information systems at selected hospitals in Australia
  • Understanding ETL processes and varying data formats/standards, to achieve the best collection of key data in a secure & compliant manner

Establishing an effective partnership with the Data & Analytics Global Chapter to draw on best practices from the broader Roche Group by way of (20%):

  • Networking to establish an awareness of Group processes and cross-org perspective to connect the dots
  • Leading the cross-functional programs and projects of varied sizes and types concurrently, fostering strong connections between individuals, teams and external networks

Who you are:

You are degree qualified in related fields (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematical Engineering, Information Systems) with experience of standard database reporting and query tools and a knowledge of writing queries with SQL.

You must have an appreciation of AA/AI/ML capabilities and strong knowledge of Analytics Platforms (such as Spotfire and Tableau) and Visualization techniques and concepts. Knowledge of R, Python and Advanced Analytics is an advantage. Experience with Pharmaceutical systems (i.e. Clinical Trial Management Systems, Drug Safety, EDC) and expertise in translating complex business requirements into relevant solutions would be a plus.

Proven experience with ingestion and processing of large Genomic, Digital, EMR, EHR, Omics, Imaging data sets coming from different data sources including diverse hospital clinical information systems (especially for EHRs, eCRFs) is necessary. Experience in implementing Infrastructure as Code & DevOps to automate infrastructure would be a plus.
