About the role

As the Brand Customer 1:1 Marketing Lead, you will define and deliver 1:1 marketing to support brand campaigns and objectives.

You will define and automate personalised, data-driven communications and integrate with lifecycle programs, where required. You’ll advise Brand Marketing teams on the best way to achieve customer and financial metrics with 1:1 customer comms.

You’ll contribute to the development of new capabilities, MVPs and future needs for 1:1 marketing, and assist with defining and automating 1:1 marketing and personalised communication programs.


More specifically you will

  • Strategic direction, delivery and implementation of effective 1:1 marketing to contribute to customer and financial objectives across brand, lifecycle, loyalty comms
  • Implement audience and trigger based programs in collaboration with broader marketing automation team
  • Lead the brand teams to develop 1:1 marketing that will support brand, financial and customer objectives
  • Development and management of test and learn programs to drive marketing effectiveness of existing customer 1:1 marketing programs
  • Develop programs to drive usage of loyalty programs and the app where required for brand activity
  • Development and management of brand bespoke retention strategies and the Outbound Channel
  • Strategic integration of Next Best Action and other key analytical models into 1:1 programs
  • Define and develop ongoing new strategic initiatives for the 1:1 Marketing Strategy
  • Lead a team of direct reports to execute key 1:1 brand activity
  • Lead the sharing of insights and experience to relevant workgroups on best practise customer lifecycle programs
  • Work collaboratively with Digital and wider Marketing Automation teams to deliver seamless customers experiences

Knowledge and Experience

  • A few years of experience in a Direct/Digital Marketing environment
  • Experience in a Direct/Digital Marketing environment
  • Experience in Direct marketing processes – including mail, OTM, online, eDM, SMS and content
  • Knowledge of the working of advertising agencies, media agencies, online suppliers, mailhouse, response management, incentive/loyalty marketing and data agencies
  • Knowledge of Marketing automation technology
  • Expert in managing and implementing 1:1 and customer lifecycle programs
  • The ability to develop actionable business opportunities from analysis of multiple datasets
