QUANTITY SURVEYOR

An outstanding opportunity exists to join a well-established and growing sandstone civil construction company.

Based in the Hornsby Shire we undertake a broad range of sandstone projects such as construction of sandstone walls, sea walls, channel alignment and weirs. This includes demolition, bulk excavations, restoration and heritage works.

We are looking for a confident and experienced quantity surveyor, someone to hit the ground running, who can start straight away. You will contribute to develop new business opportunities and assist the managing Director in achieving strategic goals.

Qualifications

Degree in civil engineering, quantity surveying, construction management, construction project management or similar.

Experience

Minimum 2-3 years advising on, monitoring and managing costs throughout all stages of civil construction and engineering projects. At least 1 year must be Australian-based experience with a construction contractor.

Skills and knowledge

Expert knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Rhino, MS Project and Excel.

Skilled negotiator and communicator.

Good working knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and contract law.

Salary

$72k to $77k depending on skills and experience
