About the company:

Dr. Sam Arena is a specialist Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose and Throat) and consults at clinic rooms within Western Hospital and Krishnan Medical Centre, Salisbury and teaches at Royal Adelaide Hospital. Dr. Arena specialises in general ENT, paediatrics and head and neck cancer.

About the role:

This multi-faceted position supports Dr. Arena within his consulting rooms in Wakefield Street. Key tasks include greeting and liaising with all of Dr. Arena’s patients, billing and receipting of payments, managing email correspondence, data entry of patient information, booking of appointments, managing email correspondence, liaising with hospitals, anaesthetists, medicare and health funds, typing of doctor’s referrals, filing and general adhoc administration support. You will also be responsible for conducting audiology tests and some sterilization of equipment.

Skills & experience:

Well presented, you will display an empathetic, personable and warm demeanor. You will be liaising with a wide range of people and exceptional interpersonal skills are essential in addition to displaying patience and a flexible work attitude. You will be highly organised, efficient and be able to work independently as well as within a small team. Intermediate MS Word and MS Outlook skills are essential and administration experience within medical/healthcare is desirable but not essential.
