Position Information
Asquith Boys High School is a comprehensive high school in the northern suburbs of Sydney, enrolment 615 students. The school caters exclusively for the educational and welfare needs of boys, attracting students from a wide drawing area who are seeking a single-sex education. The school's mission is to provide 'exceptional learning opportunities for boys' and specialises in the areas of technology, creative arts, sport, and citizenship. In recent years Asquith Boys High School has consolidated its reputation as a leader in boys' education with many of the school's successful programs being emulated at other schools. The school offers Music, Creative Arts, and Academic scholarships along with programs such as the Year 7 Personal Interest Project, a whole school Literacy and Numeracy focus, Enrichment Classes from Year 7-10, STEM courses, Duke of Edinburgh, an excellent International student program, and has a flourishing Student Leadership body to provide an exciting range of learning opportunities for all students. Selection Criteria
Approval to teach students with learning and support needs (secondary) and/or experience teaching students with learning and support needs (secondary) in regular classes.
Capacity to provide specialist assistance to students in regular classes with additional learning and support needs and their teachers
Experience working with individuals and groups of students to improve their literacy and numeracy
Capacity to provide professional learning and specialist advice to assist and support teachers on how best to cater for the diverse learning needs in their classrooms
Capacity to work collaboratively with all staff across all KLA’s in a professional and supportive environment
Demonstrated ability to plan, implement, model and evaluate personalised adjustments for learning, including the management of disability provisions, guidance and advice on appropriate learning options.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

This is a permanent part-time position for four days per week 0.8 FTE (Full-time equivalent).
