Justice Health & Forensic Mental Health Network is a state-wide Specialty Health Network delivering health care to adults and young people in contact with the forensic mental health and criminal justice systems across community, inpatient and custodial settings.

The management of state-wide services and after-hours operations in Police Cells; Adult, Adolescent; Hospital areas. The After Hours Nurse Manager will provide operational and clinical leadership, offering professional advice and ensuring efficient operational management in the after-hours setting.
The After Hours Nurse Manager works in consultation with the on-call executive to manage significant events after hours.

  • Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Tertiary qualifications in Health Management, working towards or combination of post graduate study and clinical experience
  • Demonstrated ability to report, monitor and evaluate clinical services and organisational needs.
  • Significant clinical and operational management experience at a senior level in a complex health care environment
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to motivate and inspire staff to achieve organisational and professional outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to use critical thinking skills when problem solving
  • Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills with proven negotiation skills, and computer skills, including the use of Excel, Windows, Outlook and TRIM
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to the values of the Justice Health & Forensic Mental Health Network
