What you'll be doing
The Patient & Family Experience Manager will provide a patient-centre approach to handling patient and family concerns.
Working with the Royal North Shore Hospital Executive the role will facilitate and coordinate communication between patients, support person/s, executive team, clinicians, administrative staff, or regulatory agencies to enable satisfactory resolution of patient and/or family complaints.

What you'll be doing
The Patient & Family Experience Manager will provide a patient-centre approach to handling patient and family concerns.
Working with the Royal North Shore Hospital Executive the role will facilitate and coordinate communication between patients, support person/s, executive team, clinicians, administrative staff, or regulatory agencies to enable satisfactory resolution of patient and/or family complaints.
This position is part-time, 2 days a week.
Canidiates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
- A degree in a healthcare professional field, or equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience; and recent experience in a health setting
- Demonstrated experience in patient complaint management within a health setting driving the delivery of exceptional service and patient centred care throughout our organisation
- Demonstrated understanding of the Open Disclosure process
- Demonstrated high-level communication skills. Includes interpersonal, written, and verbal communication, competency in conflict resolution and empathetic customer complaint management.
- Demonstrated ability to set objectives and targets, meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision. Demonstrated computer skills in word processing data bases and IIMS
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate outcomes in consultation with all stakeholders
- Demonstrated teamwork and leadership abilities
