Looking for your next career move?

PLB Group have a fantastic and rare opportunity for a highly motivated Wedding and Events Coordinator. You will be coordinating Events/Conferences & Weddings across our venues including Ancora, Tweed Heads, The Acre, Boomerang Farm and Osteria, Casuarina which is widely considered to be one of the leading wedding venues on the Tweed Coast and Northern NSW - boasting over 250 weddings per year. The role will be full time for the season running April - November with a view to permanent full time based on performance and business needs. Extensive training will be provided in this role therefore experienced FOH candidates will be highly considered.

Key duties:

· Overseeing and co-ordinating the running of events and making appropriate decisions where required;

· Customer service specialising in the negotiation and promotion of event, conference and wedding spaces;

· Rostering, training, appraising and coordinating staff;

· Staff supervision including organising & coordinating staff and services to meet customer needs;

· Planning and co-ordinating guest registration and facilitation of events;

· Inventory control, ordering and stocktaking;

· Telephone handling and email correspondence including managing all customer enquiries and responding to feedback;

· Presentation and maintenance of conference facilities and upkeep.

Looking for:

· Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience ideally within a high turnover events space;

· Flexibility to work evenings and across a 7 day rotating roster;

· Capability of coordinating functions and events of various sizes (from work functions to weddings);

· Local with access to reliable transport and current drivers license;

· Experience and confidence in responsible service of alcohol - current RSA certificate essential;

· Exceptional time management and planning skills;

· Great customer service skills, with ability to handle complaints;

· A problem solver with the ability to work under pressure;

· Be passionate about great food and exceptional service, with knowledge of wine and spirits;

- Knowledge of Square technology, H&L technology and workforce management to advantage.
