Talent is a peer business unit to People, comprising of Talent Management, Leadership, Alumni and Talent Acquisition. The Sourcing Specialist will work closely with Talent Acquisition Partners, Talent Acquisition Business Partners, People Business Partners and hiring managers to understand skills and attributes of a role, proactively source and approach suitable candidates using CSIRO approved technology. This involves sourcing suitable candidate profiles through multiple sourcing channels from digital platforms to internal talent pools.
Your duties will include:
- Previous sourcing specialist experience in science, pharmaceutical industries or government with demonstrated ability to source highly technical and niche candidates within role and budget constraints
- High level of technical skill with sourcing channels including but not limited to LinkedIn, associations and membership forums, global job boards, talent and search agencies, referral networks, alumni, industry events and university campus teams from undergraduate to post-doctoral level
- Experience working with senior internal and external stakeholders and presenting sourcing outcomes and market information relative to specific roles and industry
- Experience managing candidate queries and providing solutions with a focus on accuracy, speed of management and response and quality of outcome for CSIRO, candidates and hiring managers
- Demonstrated and proactive, solutions focused approach to managing individual and team contribution, with specific emphasis on alignment with CSIRO Talent guiding principles of being visible, easy to do business with, accountable, curious and collaborative

To be considered you will need:
Previous sourcing specialist experience in science, pharmaceutical industries or government with demonstrated experience sourcing highly technical and niche roles

Experience managing candidate queries and providing solutions with a focus on accuracy, speed of management and response and quality of outcome for CSIRO, candidates and hiring managers
Collaborative approach to search and sourcing assignments with specific focus on identifying multiple sourcing options to support constrained role and budget requirements
Highly organised with high level of attention to detail, ability to manage multiple streams of work and manage expectations of team and People Business Partners
Demonstrated and proactive, solutions focused approach to managing individual and team contribution, with specific emphasis on alignment with CSIRO Talent guiding principles of being visible, easy to do business with, accountable, curious and collaborative
Eligibility
The successful applicant will be required to obtain and provide a National Police Check or equivalent.
