JOB DESCRIPTION

MEDICAL IMAGING TECHNOLOGIST: MRI Grade 3
Full-time, Fixed Term (12 months). Part time work will be considered.
ABOUT THE ROLE



Alongside the MRI supervisors, ensure the effective day to day operation of the MRI department at Monash Medical Centre.


DUTIES
• Ensure a high standard of patient care is provided at all times
• Ensure high quality images are produced at all times
• Ensure safety is maintained for self, persons in your care and the department equipment
• Ensure all cases you perform are recorded accurately on RIS/PACs
• Investigating new protocols and discussing with Grade 4 MITs where appropriate
• Quality control checks of all images produced and advising staff of alternative imaging techniques.
• Assist the G4 Supervisors with Image quality reviews and in-service staff training in specific procedures
• Assist staff with improvement of their technical skills by evaluating their capabilities and ensuring they reach their potential.
• Identify and assist in the implementation of service efficiencies and improvements
• Drive innovation to support strategic and operational objectives
• Develop, maintain and improve links with other relevant programs and contribute to improvements in the levels of service provided
• Foster a culture that encourages effective working relationships and commitment to high standards of service

• Strong MRI technical skill set enabling you to work efficiently and independently
• Demonstrated commitment and interest in MRI
• Ability and commitment to follow our standards of excellence in imaging.
