Senior Pharmacy Technician

• Permanant Part time (15 hours per week)
• Based at South Coast District Hospital, Victor Harbor

About The Role

South Coast District Hospital provides a comprehensive range of medical and surgical services, including general medicine, oncology and obstetrics, to patients from the surrounding area.

HPS Pharmacies is the contracted service provider for pharmacy services and we are currently seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic and committed Pharmacy Technician to work at the Hospital located in Victor Harbor.

This part time role will require you to work 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Flexibility in working additional hours at minimal notice will also be highly regarded.

Working alongside the hospital pharmacist in the provision of pharmacy services to meet contractual requirements, your experience in providing a high level pharmacy service and exceptional customer service skills are critical for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain hospital ward imprest stock; replenishing medications to predetermined levels and ensuring within manufacturers shelf life.
• Assist in other pharmacy requirements for the hospital, under the direction of a Pharmacist
• Assist the Pharmacist prepare medication lists to facilitate medication management

You must have

• A can-do attitude and team focus
• Proven pharmacy experience
• Advanced oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of hospital staff
• A high level of attention to detail and precision in record keeping
• Demonstrated experience working in fast paced environment
• Hospital experience is highly desirable.
