The Role
In this permanent part-time (0.8) Paediatric Ward Clark role, we can offer flexibility in hours and days in work to fit in with your lifestyle. You will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient ward operations and excellence in customer service to all patients, visitors, medical staff and unit staff. In the paediatric unit we have 19 overnight beds and 6 recliners in our day room, providing care for paediatric patients ranging in age from infants through to 18yrs. We accommodate both elective and emergency presentations. You will be part of a small supportive specialised team reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager.

You will make an impact by:

  • Being friendly, enthusiastic and team-oriented
  • Providing excellent administrative and clerical support to the team
  • Displaying a high level of customer service
  • Be able to clearly give customers directions, to way find through the hospital
  • Your ability to communicate well with staff, children and their families.

To be successful in the role.
You will be a friendly and approachable and have preferably worked with Paediatric patients (Infants through to adolescents) and their families. You will have a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service to all of the patients and visitors.

You will have:

  • Strong computer skills
  • Experience in daily administrative requirements, including patient admissions and discharges
  • Previous clerical experience in the health care industry
