About the opportunity
This role is a part of the Community Health multidisciplinary team, providing quality services to patients /clients (acute and community based) in WNSW Local Health District servicing Canowindra, district and outreach to smaller sites ensuring continuity of care and to improve their health and wellbeing. Community Health forms part of the Canowindra Health Service Team, providing multidisciplinary, patient centred and high quality care to our patients.

Where you'll be working
Canowindra Health Service, a part of the Western NSW Local Health District. Canowindra has a recently redeveloped and renovated rural health service with 15 beds. The emergency department is brand new and the staff enjoy working with the latest equipment in a facilities that is fresh, airy and bright. Services provide include, 24 hour emergency care; acute and sub-acute/non-acute inpatient services, rehabilitation, palliative care and outpatient services. A range of primary and community health care services are also provided from a Community Health building in the centre of town.
Canowindra is located approximately 320 kilometres west of Sydney and 220 kilometres north of Canberra. It’s a commutable distance from the popular regional city of Orange, approximately 45 mins away.
Proudly described as the ‘Balloon Capital of Australia’, its gentle winds are perfect for flying hot air balloons through the open countryside and hosts one of the largest balloon festivals in Australia attracting international competitors.
