We currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and suitably experienced night shift transport supervisor to join the Hanson team based at our Greenacre Concrete Plant in NSW. The ideal candidate would be someone who has extensive experience supervising a large night shift team – preferably within the manufacturing or transport industries.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for successfully optimizing performance through sound supervision of the concrete plant and the team within it. You will be joining a strong team culture where personal and professional growth is valued. This is a multi-faceted role, responsible for overseeing and contributing to customer service, operational excellence and various administrative activities.

This role is a Monday to Friday night shift position – with no weekend work required.

In your role, you will:

· Manage night shift activities and actively supervise the internal team, contractors, & suppliers

· Engage and maintain effective relationships with current and potential customers to meet business and sales targets

· Manage and contribute to the quality control of production, plant maintenance, as well as administrative duties

· Maintain and drive sound working knowledge of health and safety principles, legislation, standards and codes of practice.

· Coordination of general yard, plant housekeeping and maintenance

· Monitoring of P&L costs and provide optimization suggestions to plant manager

· Communication with plant manager of daily shift happenings

· Review of upcoming concrete orders and deliveries

· Accurate batching of orders to specified mix designs utilising the Commandbatch program and the docket dispatch system

· Operation of FEL, Forklift, Skid Steer & Agitator Trucks
