Downer's Road Services business is one of the largest non-government owned infrastructure services businesses in Australia. We operate from a network of over 50 depots and maintain more than 33,000 km of roads Australia wide.

We have a 13-month contract opportunity available for a People and Culture Advisor - Projects to provide support and assistance to our dynamic P&C senior leadership on special projects and the delivery of the P&C strategic plan. This is an exciting and challenging role where you will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and providing innovative solutions with the opportunity to influence and create change.

About you:

Ideally, you are a proactive self-starter with tertiary qualifications in Human Resources and have exposure in Construction, Engineering or Heavy Industrial sectors. You will also possess;

• Demonstrated Human Resources experience gained within a similar environment
• Experience in supporting the delivery of HR strategies, policies and procedures
• Well-developed computer skills including Page Up, Express HR and JDEG's (highly desired)
• Results-oriented, with high attention to detail and effective time management skills
• The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships at all levels
• Intermediate skills in the use of Microsoft Office
• Experience in supporting the delivery of HR strategies, policies and procedures
• Strong safety focus with demonstrated evidence of actively promoting and sustaining a Zero harm environment
