Thales works on complex Air Traffic Management (ATM) projects across the globe. This is a permanent role within the Bids team supporting the ATM bids where you will have responsibility for managing a range of bids including multi-domain, multi-national bid teams for delivery to the international market.

The Senior Bid & Project Manager’s key accountabilities include planning, organising and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of the proposal goals and objectives

As a Bid & Project Manager, you are accountable for:

  • Working closing with the sales team to analyse customer needs and determine winning bid strategies.

  • Assisting with the creation of the solution and proposal whilst ensuring compliance with customer requirements and highlighting company value proposition.

  • Prepare and manage bid planning activities including resources, cost and schedule based on documented bid processes.

  • Effectively communicate with all levels of staff via staff meetings, written communications and one-on-one communication.

  • Lead the Bid Team with clear objectives and guidelines on deliverables required.

  • Manage the bid and the bid team through the Bid & Project Lifecycle including support of early capture, framing and preparing the bid, offer negotiation and contract into force.

  • Manage and lead the commercial aspects of the proposal including Cost, Price and Cash and related simulation and modelling.

  • Presenting, promoting and negotiating offers to customers, in close coordination with the sales team.

How About You?

  • Business or Engineering Degree

  • Proven and effective leadership of multi-disciplinary engineering, project or bid teams

  • Experience in Bids and Proposals development a must

  • Project Management experience is highly regarded.

  • Leadership and communication skills in a high pressure bid environment.

  • Entrepreneurial approach to the development of commercially robust win strategies.

  • Strategic thinking, commercial and financial acumen.
