About PEER:

PEER is Australia’s Leading Learning Organisation for trade training in SA for Plumbing, Electrical, Data Communication and Refrigeration. Its Academy Based Model ensures students are trained, mentored, coached and supported to be the best. PEER’s business offers: host employment for apprentices; nationally recognised trade training; skills recognition; and a range of upskilling courses. PEER employs over 500 staff including apprentices.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate daily with management, team leaders, apprentice & trainee co-ordinators to ensure all apprentices/trainees are provide on job training through placement with host employers
  • Ensure all customers including but not limited to students, employers, apprentices (both PEER & private), International Students/Migrants, trainers, Apprentice & Trainee Co-ordinators & other internal staff are delivered the highest level of customer service
  • Work with apprentices and host employers to ensure workplace safety and wellbeing requirements are exceeded, workplace profiling is maintained at an acceptable level, trade school attendance is maximised and all host required travel/accommodation is scheduled.
  • Ensure host employers are held to contractual requirements to enforce safety standards, ensure a sound commercial and financial outcome for PEER and a sound training environment meeting legislation for best apprentice/trainee outcomes
  • Build and maintain long term sustainable and valuable relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Grow revenue streams for all PEER products and services
  • Maintenance & upkeep of all data through digitised processes and online database systems to ensure integrity and reliability of all records across all systems within the PEER environment
  • Contribute to timely and accurate reporting requirements in line with GTO, RTO & other regulatory bodies
  • Achievement of team and individual KPI’s in line with PEER Strategic Objectives
  • Manage project work as directed by the Customer Service Manager
  • Dealing with a vast range of clients including trades, industry bodies, Government departments, apprentices, migrants and students
To be successful to secure this opportunity, it is Essential that you can demonstrate the following:
  • Previous experience in the employment placement or Vocational Education and Training (VET) desirable, not essential
  • Prior administration experience essential
  • Prior experience using digitised online database systems is desirable
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • A positive outlook with a can-do attitude.
  • Highly organised.
