About the role:

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Cost Planner (Buildings) and a Building Services Cost Planner to join our NSW/ACT - Pre-Contracts team based in North Sydney.

Responsibilities include, however are not limited to:

  • Preparation of accurate cost plans and elemental estimates for our major building tenders and projects from incomplete documentation/including identifying project risks & opportunities
  • Accountable for the establishment of project cost plan
  • Ensuring cost compliance with all parties involved
  • Providing cost planning advice to the tender project team
  • Maintain internal and external relationships

Requirements for this role are:

  • Qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in a cost planning role for either a Tier 1 developer /builder or contractor
  • Experience in developing costs plans across commercial and residential projects and co-ordinating these with property developers
  • Relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Effective problem-solving techniques and skills
  • Effective time management skills and planning including sequencing of work, of own and resource time management
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Exceptional knowledge of cost planning software systems such Eclipse, Cost X, Cubit etc
  • Services Cost Planner must have relevant services experience in the building industry
