12 Month Contract Payroll Officer Position

Your new company
A nationally recognised brand and market leader within the Not for Profit Sector, this organisation has been in operation for an extended period and pride themselves on providing a great environment to work in. They are a diverse enterprise, which has a state-wide presence and a head office based in a central Hobart location.

Your new role
Based in the Kingston office, this is a 1-year fixed term contract position for a payroll officer, reporting to the Business Manager. The position will see you processing the payroll for between 100 and 150 employees (permanent and casual) on a fortnightly basis. You will be responsible for entering all leave to the system, and ensuring accurate working hours are recorded.

You will be employed during an exciting time as the organisation move from their internal payroll system to Technology One.

What you'll need to succeed
To be success you will have proven experience processing end to end payroll in a medium to large organisation. You will have knowledge of modern awards and have experience with Technology One or another large specialist payroll systems such as SAP, Chris21 or Empower. In addition to the technical skills and knowledge, you with have excellent written and verbal communications skills, you will be an excellent team player, and you will be willing to step outside of the payroll processing to support other areas of the office as required.

To be successful, you will need to hold a current employment grade Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Check and have a or be willing to undertake prior to commencement a National Police Check.

What you'll get in return
In return you will be employed in a full time contract position for 12 months. You will receive an above award salary including base salary, superannuation and 4 weeks of annual leave and free parking.
