 About the Role

The Legislative Services Directorate is accountable to the Corporate Executive for the reporting, coordination and development of legal policy and legislative projects, in support of the Attorney General/First Law Officer and/or Minister for Corrective Services policy and legislative agendas.

The Senior Policy Officer (Level 6) and Principal Policy Officer (Level 7) assist the Legislative Services Directorate in the development of legal policy and legislation.

Pool Recruitment

This is a recruitment pool for Permanent/ Fixed Term/ Part Time/ Full Time appointments with the possibility of extension and/or permanency and direct permanent appointment within the Legislative Services Directorate of the Department of Justice’s Strategic Reform Division. Applicants found suitable in this pool, may be considered for subsequent, similar vacancies at similar locations, with the Department of Justice for the duration of the pool.

This is a multiple-level appointment pool process which allows you to go through a single process to be considered for both levels, unless you indicate otherwise in your application – see information on how to apply.

There is currently one permanent full time Principal Policy Officer (Level 7) vacancy available. As more vacancies arise further appointments may be made.

This pool will be open for a period of 12 months from the day after the breach of standard claim period closes.
