This local Government organisation is looking for a dynamic, energetic Talent Engagement Officer to join their team. 

As the Talent Engagement Officer, you will be responsible for; 

  • Coordination, development and implementation of the effective delivery of Council’s talent acquisition programs i.e., attraction, marketing, advertising, recruitment and selection processes & policies, including liaison between internal and external clients.
  • Monitoring the progress of all talent acquisition activities to ensure compliance with relevant legislative, Award and Council policy guidelines, and value for money in recruitment related costs. 
  • Administering of Council’s recruitment process from end to end for all positions across Council and liaising with all relevant stakeholders during the processes utilising the Human Resource Information System, Aurion, and related e-recruitment functionality. 
  • Inducting new starters to the organisation.
  • Providing ongoing sound advice and support to hiring managers, and ensuring that Council’s recruitment policy and guidelines are practiced across Council by engaging in regular consultation with hiring managers.
  • Working with managers to identify business recruitment needs and delivering a range of innovative hiring solutions to support the most effective hiring outcome.

As the right person for the role, you have:

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering a wide range of recruitment and selection activities. 
  • Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines, plan and manage multiple projects and tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to consult and liaise with all relevant stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Experience monitoring recruitment practices, procedures and systems and making recommendations to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of Work Health and Safety practices, the principles of Equal Employment Opportunity, ethical practice and multi-cultural diversity.
  • Knowledge of human resource management issues.
  • High level interpersonal, negotiation, conflict resolution and written communication skills across a wide variety of customers and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis tools and techniques.
  • Experience using MyAurion, Trim software is preferred but not essential
