Our client provides the Australian social science research community with access to world-class survey research services and a full range of survey design, data management, analytical and qualitative skills. The mission of the organisation is to undertake research that informs decision-making and advances our understanding of Australian society. This position will be offered as a permanent position.
 
Working closely with senior members of the research team, Project Managers are responsible for the day-to-day management of our research projects. The focus of the role is on high quality project execution, taking a key role in the planning, development and monitoring of data collection and associated client deliverables. Project Managers are client facing and are expected to manage client expectations regarding project specifics (including field dates, analysis and reporting deliverables).

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Undergraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. social sciences, psychology, sociology, public health and the like)
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a social, government or market research environment
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight timelines
  • Good communication skills and experience in a client facing environment
  • Experience in sampling/sample design, questionnaire design, weighting, statistical analysis and reporting is highly desirable
  • Research experience in a Computer Aided Telephone Interviewing environment
  • Experience in using SPSS (or similar programs) is essential
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and other packages relevant to projects, as necessary
  • Good team player
  • A genuine interest in further developing a career in social and health research.
