The Gig

We are looking for an experienced Creative Brand Director to plan, direct, and coordinate brand development programs. You will strategize ways to generate brand awareness and monitor marketing trends that indicate the performance of products and services.

The Creative Brand Director will be responsible for hiring a creative team in which you will lead your team to devise the concepts and strategies, developing creative guidelines and directing creative work, including print collateral, websites, email campaigns, social media campaigns and advertising, and many related tasks to increase brand awareness.

You must be a great leader with the ability to maximize the talents of your teams. Doing so means being a coach, a teacher, an instructor, and a critic all at once. It’s a dynamic job. You’ll need to be an expert in all facets of the creative process — and the creative industry — in order to produce the best work.

A Day in the Life

  • Conceiving and implementing concepts to help increase the brand’s exposure, guidelines, and strategies in various creative projects and overseeing them to completion
  • Collaborating with account executives to obtain knowledge of the clients’ requirements
  • Directing and motivating teams of social media, illustrators, copywriters, graphic designers, etc. to help them use their talents effectively
  • Lead brainstorming/creative sessions to generate ideas
  • Write and design unique and well-crafted copy that meet clients’ needs as well as our own
  • Determine and monitor production schedules and provide work direction to staff
  • Improve quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes and recommending changes to art, copywriting, and production departments.
  • Develop marketing strategies by examining company objectives and planning, scheduling, and completing design and production requirements for direct marketing, telemarketing, and advertising.
  • Keep clients informed by compiling, analyzing, and reporting marketing results and forwarding plan projections and updates.
  • Monitor, revise, and improve marketing plan and quality results by studying creative processes, analyzing campaign results, and implementing necessary changes.

Must Haves:

  • Proven experience as a Creative Director or in a similar creative role
  • Fashion-related branding experience
  • Hand-on experience in the creative process: creating robust marketing strategies, graphic design, and brand development
  • Outstanding leadership and organization skills - experience leading a marketing team
  • Critical thinking and strong knowledge with analytics in order to shift and adjust the creative content and the marketing strategy based on the results.
  • A strong content creator with the ability to tell a story
  • A visionary with a high-end eye that is simplistic and tasteful.
  • Experience with coordinating a photoshoot to create assets for the brand.
  • The ability to choose the best photographer and photography team to complete the vision and direction for the brand.
  • Excellent working knowledge of software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc - Samples of creative work (portfolio) will be required.
  • Highly proficient in using Hubspot and WordPress
  • Proficient in Google Suite - Google Mail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides.

Nice to have:

  • BSc/BA in advertising, fine art, design, or relevant field; MSc/MA will be considered an asset.
  • Graphic design experience
  • Technical background and digital marketing experience
  • Team of creative experts you’ve worked within the past that you call upon to execute the strategies
  • Experience using Slack or any other similar tools.
