School Psychologist - Northern Beaches - $85,000 - $105,000

A prestigious School in the Northern Beaches is looking for part-time and full-time qualified School Psychologists. This school has a reputation for producing well rounded students through academic rigour and a strong pastoral focus.

Your new role

• Identifying, advising and providing counselling to students from Kindergarten to Year 12 on issues affecting their wellbeing; students may be self-referred, teacher‐referred, or parent‐referred
• Conducting individual and group counselling sessions upon request or referral
• Providing students with appropriate information and resources based on their presenting issues
• Referring cases beyond the expertise and resources of the School staff to appropriate outside agencies and therapists
• Being available to the Executive Team in supporting specific issues and strategies, including the response to critical incidents
• Carrying out appropriate strategies as appropriate and required
• Developing and maintaining confidential and accurate records to support interventions and initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed

• Full AHPRA Registration
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working with adolescents in a Counselling role
• High level of interpersonal and communication skills
• Appropriate qualification in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work or Family Therapy
