We are looking for a passionate HR Officer to join our Regional HR Operations team on a 12 month fixed term contract to provide hands on administration and operational support to the Rio Tinto Aluminium team.

This exciting HR Officer role is a great opportunity for you starting your HR Career, as it will also offer you the opportunity to develop and grow within your career. Reporting to the HR Team Leader, you will be:

  • Providing advice and assistance on human resources policies and procedures.
  • Providing support to special projects and other initiatives (e.g. employee engagement, attractions and retention initiatives).
  • Collecting, analyzing and reporting human resources data to internal stakeholders
  • Supporting the deployment of operational projects and assisting with HR annual activities.
  • Managing human resource transactions to ensure accurate employee data is maintained

What you’ll bring

To be successfully considered for this role, you will

  • Preferably have a degree or experience with an office environment
  • Be able to work independently and also within a wider team
  • Have a disciplined approach to time management
  • MS Office and MS Excel skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, have strong ethics and reliability
  • Ability to follow processes/adhere to global controls
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
