The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Social Worker - Advanced (Domestic and Family Violence) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 10 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to over 550,000 people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will -
Evaluate and Review GCHHS service delivery in the area of domestic and family violence, identifying areas for improvement and collaborate in the development and implementation of plans, procedures, programs and frameworks that enhance service delivery and support the continuum of care
Provide authoritative counsel to relevant stakeholders on matters regarding domestic and family violence specifically technical and clinical knowledge, expertise, legislation and accountability
Provide and actively contribute to the development of interprofessional competence for all clinicians involved in the area of domestic and family violence
Initiate, conduct and support practice based research in accordance with GCHHS organisational and domestic and family violence program objectives
Contribute to the dissemination and translation of evidence based formal research to healthcare service provision and provide in-depth knowledge of domestic and family violence support and clinical interventions within a range of public health programs including acute and subacute hospital, community and mental health services
About you

To be successful in this position you will require:
A bachelor Degree in Social Work or equivalent is a requirement of the role
Eligible for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers
While not mandatory, a post-qualifying and/or post graduate qualification would be well regarded
Working with children check
Driver's Licence
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough) and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
