Job Description

Junior Radio Content Producer will assist with general administration and respond to briefs relevant to all Nine Radio programs in an efficient, detailed and creative manner. Pitches might be written in conjunction with other content producers when part of a broader business proposal, or as an individual response. The role will be under the guidance of the Senior Content Lead – Radio and Head of Branded Content with the objective to deliver commercial, content-led solutions for radio. Pitch work will include scripts and digital written (native and advertorial) content.


  • Assist with general admin, as required
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Nine Radio suite of products and its audience, and the ability to generate imaginative ideas, copy and content to solve client problems and engage the right people.
  • Respond to creative briefs and complete work to deadline.
  • Ensure professionalism with clients at all times.
  • Attend client meetings as required.
  • Work with Powered Studios Radio Production team on audio production of credits, promotions, commercials and other client production work where relevant.
  • Work with Powered Studios to help deliver all campaign requirements.
  • Write scripts for on-air and manage stakeholders throughout client iterations as required
  • Be “on call” after hours to manage any issues that arise with programming, production or commercial content.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and follow through communications, and ensure that all on-air broadcast material complies with Nine Radio standards and brand.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to implement digital and social aspects of campaigns and monitor their success.
  • Support Powered Studios based on workload.


Essential Experience & Skills

  • 2+ years relevant media experience (editorial and/or commercial content).
  • Ability to analyse client needs and interpret for radio.
  • Experience in writing, editing and publishing high-quality scripts and online content.
  • Ability to forge strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, with the capability to influence, negotiate and mediate to reach an optimum outcome for all parties.
  • A solutions-focused team player who is flexible and adaptable in responding to the needs of a project.
  • Proven experience in the following:
  • Delivering to strict deadlines and committed to exceeding expectations.
  • Working on multiple projects simultaneously and thriving in a fast-paced, creative environment.
  • Stakeholder management including excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Working directly with multiple stakeholders across varying areas of business and levels of seniority.
