JOB DESCRIPTION

The Executive Assistant is a role within Accommodation Services and is accountable to the Director, Accommodation Services for: Providing high level confidential executive and administrative support to the Director, including email and diary management; providing timely, accurate and pro-action advice on a broad range of issues and priorities, including undertaking research, data collection and preparing reports or correspondence; monitoring that the departmental and divisional policies, procedures, standards, and customer service principles are applied in the delivery of administrative services; managing the day-to-day requirements of the Director’s office to ensure smooth operational function; manage small projects linked to improving executive functions and supporting the role of the Director and maintaining collaborative and effective relationships with a broad range of internal and external partners as a key representative of the Director, Accommodation Services.

Special Conditions: Successful applicant will be required to hold a National Police Check (NPC) and satisfactorily complete an Employment-related Screening Check where this is required for the role, prior to being employed. Must hold a current Australian issued Driver’s Licence (equivalent to minimum class ‘C’ – South Australian), which must be maintained. Incumbent must be willing and able to drive all government vehicles within their licence classification during the course of their duties. Out-of-hours work may be required from time to time, including attendance at after-hours functions.

Remuneration: $72,135 - $75,616 (ASO4)

Screening

Consideration for an offer of employment in the South Australian Public Sector is in part dependent upon a National Police Check, also known as a National Police Certificate.

If you are new to the department and are invited to an interview, you will be required to produce a National Police Check, which has been issued within six months of your application for the role. National Police Checks can be applied for via the South Australia Police or through an Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission accredited body .

If the role you are applying for also requires an Employment-related Screening Check, you will be required to undergo such assessment as is advised by DHS, including periodic assessment during your employment.

Cover Letter and Resume

You are required to submit a cover letter which should be no longer than 2 pages addressing how your skills, attributes, experience and capabilities align with the role description. You are also required to provide three work referees, preferably being your two most recent line managers and attach your current resume via the online application form. Please note that for this role you are not required to address Behavioural Questions in the application.
