  • The Principal Procurement Advisor will be required to develop effective relationships with internal clients, client groups, stakeholders, customers and business areas; whilst supporting the organisation, Whole of Government (WoG) networks, commercial suppliers and staff through various stages, to successfully deliver a range of high quality end-to-end procurement services.

    About the Role

    This opportunity exists within the Procurement Services Team where your role will report directly to the Manager, Procurement Services.

    As the Principal Procurement Advisor you will:

    Provide a range of strategic procurement expertise, contract management and administration services, robust project management guidance and advice to support the delivery of the PT's strategic objectives in the most industry-savvy, efficient and effective manner whilst ensuring compliance with all applicable policies, processes and probity requirements.
    Assist in providing advice and support to other team and staff members to ensure quality outcomes are achieved for the organisation.

    The Principal Procurement Advisor will be required to develop effective relationships with internal clients, client groups, stakeholders, customers and business areas; whilst supporting the organisation, Whole of Government (WoG) networks, commercial suppliers and staff through various stages, to successfully deliver a range of high quality end-to-end procurement services.

    Highly Desirable Requirements

    Although not mandatory, the following would be highly regarded:

    a qualification in Procurement;
    a minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar role;
    experience in one or both of Government and/or private sector procurement;
    formal training and/or experience in project management.
