About the Position
Located in the Lifestyle and Community Directorate, the Community Venues and Services (CV&S) Branch develops, maintains and manages the major Council semi-commercial owned community, sports, aquatic and recreational venues. The position will work closely with the CV&S Branch to plan, schedule, and resource planned and reactive maintenance work packages, utilising the City's systems and processes.
Key Deliverables of the position:
Responsibilities and duties of the role incumbent include, but are not limited to:
- Developing maintenance strategies, plans and interventions to support effective asset management practice
- Ensuring ongoing compliance with relevant statutory and business requirements across a broad asset portfolio
- Working within the asset management framework regarding budget, service levels, governance, and risk
- Feed into lifecycle planning by providing expert advice on asset trends
- Collaborating with operations and maintenance staff to ensure strategies and plans are realistic, efficient, cost-effective and achievable
- Providing tactical support to both managers and operations teams
- Monitoring and reporting on maintenance performance
- Identifying risks and opportunities for improvement within the maintenance program
- Working within a broad corporate environment to engage internal stakeholders, including City Maintenance, Maintenance Planning and Processing, and Corporate Asset Management to drive positive relationships and outcomes
About You
- You will be a tertiary-qualified engineer, or qualified tradesperson (electrical, mechanical & HVAC, fire & hydraulic or similar) with significant experience in an engineering support environment
- You will have at least 3 years' experience in a maintenance planning role. Ideally, this will be working with civil, infrastructure, or community assets; however, other maintenance planning experience will be highly regarded
- Demonstrated experience of maintenance within asset management practice with an understanding of service levels, lifecycle planning, and interventions
- Demonstrated SAP ERP/SAP PM experience and advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge
- Experience requiring coordination between multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work within a complex corporate environment and negotiate with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
- Written and oral communication skills at an advanced level (including the ability to consult and influence a diverse range of customers).

The Selection Process
