Warehouse Specialist

  • 12 month fixed term contract with a view to extending

Our client located in Belrose is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Specialist with strong leadership skills to join this well-established global company. Your previous team leadership / supervisory skills coupled with your medical industry knowledge will be highly regarded. They are looking for a team player who is now looking to take the next step in their career and be responsible for the precise picking and packing of products for the medical division of this global company.
 
Your responsibilities:

  • Precise pick pack and shipment of orders
  • Monitoring warehouse inbound shipments on a daily basis and recording and communicating any discrepancies
  • Unpack and perform inbound inspection of all goods received.
  • Recording inbound products received in the system and correctly storing product the warehouse
  • Inventory control, including scrapping of product and handling of expired / damaged items
  • Conduct Stock taking management and ensure stock inventory accuracy in the warehouse
  • Computer data entry in various systems
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and organized work environment
  • Maintaining compliance with training expectations as required for this position
  • Liaise regularly with the Customer Service Team to ensure inventory transparency at all times
  • Maintains quality work by following the standards of the company’s policies and procedures.
  • Maintains a safe environment including general housekeeping of the client’s products in an organised and tidy manner throughout the warehouse.

The Successful Candidate will have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a high performing warehouse team
  • Experience working with medical products is preferred.
  • Experience working within ISO13485/9001 is desirable but not essential.
  • High computer proficiency and experience working with ERP systems.
  • Oracle E1 experience with material handling and processing, working in the medical device industry or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in Word and Outlook with experience using RF Scanners.
  • Ability to work well within a small group environment and ability to work on a variety of items daily.
  • Excellent analytical abilities with good written and oral English language communication skills.
  • High level attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and under pressure.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Ability to communicate ideas and/or issues effectively to other team members and management.
  • Supervisory level of expertise is an advantage, but you are not required to run the warehouse, you will be a point of contact for the Service Team
  • Warehouse/Logistics qualifications will be highly regarded
