Community Support Workers - Blue Mountains Region | PENRITH, NSW

Join a charitable, not-for-profit (NFP) organisation who helps people by providing quality support worker services to disability, aged care and community services organisations across Australia.

About the role

As a result of high demand for services, currently looking to grow a team of Support Workers across the Blue Mountains region. These positions include supporting clients with: 

• Personal care
• Meal preparation
• Domestic assistance
• Transport and community access
• Respite

About You

You will bring to the role:

• Initiative
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy
• Flexibility
• Availability to work on weekdays and morning shifts

Your Skills and Experience

Seeking support workers with the following skills and experience:

• A certificate in Ageing Support, Health Services Assistant, or Individual Support (Ageing, Ageing and Home and Community, or Disability), or working towards or a willingness to enrol within 1 month and complete within 12 months of commencement.
• Experience working in the role of a support worker or similar
• A current National Police Certificate
• A current First Aid Certificate
• A current Working With Children Check
• A current NSW Drivers Licence (P2 or above) and access to a reliable vehicle
• Compliance with or willingness to comply with our Immunisation and Vaccination Policy
