The Role
Child and Family Health Service - Women’s and Children’s Health Network
Full time, ongoing - Total Indicative Remuneration AHP3: $108,448 - $116,253; RNM3: $124,301 - $131,635 - AHP3 / RNM3
The Aboriginal Clinical Lead works both directly in a clinical capacity with a wide variety of complexities and in the supervision of staff from a variety of disciplines. The incumbent is responsible for providing comprehensive specialist and cultural expertise in the assessment and analysis of and response to the health needs of Aboriginal children and their families. The role is to also build the capacity of staff by providing clinical support, supervision and education. The incumbent will have responsibility in training, mentoring, resource coordination and provision, and evaluation of programs.
An Aboriginal Clinical Lead will provide and supervise clinical services embracing:
Cultural respective practice
Complex psycho-social problems
Advanced or specialised psycho-social assessment, therapeutic interventions, advocacy, networking, education, resource development and evaluation/research.
An Aboriginal Clinical Lead works closely with other CaFHS teams and management and in partnership with WCHN and other appropriate agencies. He or she is responsible for providing comprehensive specialist expertise in the cultural and clinical assessment and analysis of and response to the health needs of Aboriginal children and their families.
