About Us


Maxwell Medical Group is a brand new GP clinic situated in West Footscray. Our team is comprised of four experienced GPs focused on building and shaping a medical clinic that puts the interests and needs of its patients first. We want to create a unique medical centre where diversity is celebrated, our community is acknowledged, and individual health needs are prioritised.


We are looking for an experienced, motivated and forward-thinking Practice Manager to join our team and to play an integral part in the growth and success of our business.

In this role you will help us to deliver excellence in primary health care to maximise well-being for our patients. We aim to stand out as a practice that provides the highest quality of care particularly for patients with complex health problems, chronic disease, mental health problems and from under-represented groups such as the LGBTQIA+ community.


Your Key Responsibilities


  • Set up and manage the day-to-day operations of the clinic
  • Manage practice staff including administrative and nursing personnel
  • Provide accurate and timely financial data and reports including budgets and annual plans
  • Compliance with all relevant Government legislation and regulations
  • Develop organisation systems, policies and procedures to maximise productivity
  • Staff training and development
  • Public relations and marketing
  • Manage professional relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers


Your Skills & Experience



  • Minimum of 2 years as a Practice Manager
  • Experience working in a GP, dental, physiotherapy or similar business
  • Experience executing human resource management activities
  • Experience in accounting and business reporting
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Leadership and team building experience
  • Excellent time management and prioritising skills
  • Computer skills including knowledge of relevant medical software
