- HEW 9: $118,433 + 17% superannuation
About The Job
In this pivotol role, you will lead the Research Contracts and Grants Management team to ensure the successful contracting,commencement and management of funded projects. These activities directly contribute to the University’s key performance indicators with respect to research funding. The position requires you to utilise your broad leadership and management skills in taking responsibility for research project advice, finalisation and commencement; research contracts agreement review, negotiation and finalisation; and post-award management through to project end/closeout supporting researchers. Your proactive approach, passion, diplomacy, negotiation, influence and management qualities and experience will be essential in making this role a success.
There is also considerable scope for innovation in delivery of current services and activities as the university seeks to improves its systems and processes in its journey to become an innovative enterprise. Additionally, with changes to the academic structural model at Swinburne, you will be at the forefront of implementing improvements to the support model for research management services.
Reporting to the Director, Research Services, you will be expected to build close working relationships with colleagues in other areas of Swinburne Research and Enterprise (SRE), particularly the Research Development and Proposals team, and other support services including Business Development & Industry Engagement team, Research Finance, Planning, People & Culture, the Legal Office, and colleagues in research support positions in academic Departments, Centres and Institutes.
