We are experiencing a continued period of rapid growth, both locally in Australia and also Internationally. We are committed to building a global brand and currently have an exciting new opportunity available for an experienced globally minded Technology Manager.

This is technology role like no other! As our Technology Manager you will be responsible for balancing a strong focus on technology with exceptional people skills in order to provide (1) day-to-day support for end users, (2) manage our existing infrastructure -thankfully we're mostly cloud based, and (3) help lead applications development work with third-party teams. Our Technology Manager is also tasked with keeping our organization secure by implementing and maintaining our access control processes, ensuring our machines are patched, and that the antivirus and end-user security program is optimized to support a flexible and at-times remote workforce. This role will also interface with leaders throughout the brand to solicit, scope, prioritize, and at times manage a queue of development and technology related projects. The Technology Manager will also support various application implementations and ongoing support requirements for our warehouse management system (WMS), financial accounting package (Xero), and various connectors to our Shopify platform. You should be prepared to be hands-on, service oriented, and willing to dig in a variety of tasks throughout your day. Prior experience in an ecommerce, cloud based, enterprise is highly desirable.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

    • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware with a "customer-first" approach.
    • Manage a portfolio of cloud-based and on-premise support systems, including application implementation, patching, and end-user administration tasks.
    • Own our access-control and internal security practices across our technology platform.
    • Troubleshoot and solve common IT issues (password resets, computer hardware failures, access requests).
    • Collaborate with cross functional leaders on new ideas for technology/applications, pending issues, and share ideas for process and procedural improvements.
    • Serve as a facilitator between in-house teams/leaders and third-party development and support operations -helping to translate "tech speak" into understandable and actionable deliverables. Assist in-house teams/leaders in holding related vendors accountable for performance, on-time delivery, and on-budget delivery.
    • Maintain the queue and backlog of technology related items as part of our IT roadmap and weekly IT steering committee meeting.
    • Follow and implement security policies and protocols, document procedures and other related IT processes.
    • Maintain and manage enterprise applications while collaborating and partnering with finance, IT and Operations resources to identify, scope, prioritize, and delivery enhancements.
    • Coordinate application upgrade activity, respond to issues and incidents, and, at times, provide day-to-day administration/front-line support of the critical business systems that drive our in-house teams in Finance, Operations, Customer Service, and Merchandising.
    • Assist in the evaluation of third-party software products for solutions, as appropriate. Manage relationships with those Vendors in a positive way.
    • Monitor end-user usage of various systems and benchmark performance.
    • Document and follow formal policies, procedures, and protocols for changes, customization, standards, usage, etc.
    • Work collaboratively with leaders across the organization to solve business challenges, improve efficiency, and leverage technology to help automate routine tasks.

What We Require (Qualifications):

    • Six (6) to eight (8) years of directly relevant experience working in IT/technology, or a closely related function.
    • Two (2) to four (4) years of previous management or leadership experience.
    • Previous experience working with end-users in a "customer first" environment is required.
    • Bachelor's degree in business or related field; additional relevant work experience can be substituted for an earned degree.
    • Solid experience in managing a hybrid Windows PC / MacOS Environment including network configuration and hardware troubleshooting.
    • Detailed knowledge of PC hardware, Apple Mac Hardware, mobile devices (Android and Apple) including workforce configuration and hardware troubleshooting techniques.
    • Detailed knowledge of business applications such as the full Microsoft Office 365 and Google GSuite platforms (including One Drive for Business).
    • Excellent MS office skills, especially with Excel.
    • Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and quality control.
    • Ability to organize, prioritize, and reorder workload in a dynamic environment.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Flexible thinker with the ability to make sound independent decisions.
    • Ability to work with little supervision, check ego at the door, and work well with others at all levels in the organization.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
