About The Role

We have a part time fixed term opportunity for a Technical Officer, Laboratory Services till 1 March 2023

This position is to manage the laboratory, perform routine water analysis and equipment calibrations required to support the operation of the Beenyup Advanced Water Recycling Plant.

This role is based in Beenyup and will report to the Team Leader - Laboratory Services.

What The Role Will Offer
  • Manage the operations of the laboratory.
  • Conduct routine and non-routine water analysis.
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment according to the laboratory calibration schedule.
  • Manage the data entry of analytical results in database.
  • Advise supervisor of any chemistry that does not meet operational targets.
  • Manage the maintenance of chemical stocks and equipment inventories.
  • Procurement of laboratory equipment as required.
  • Compliance with the Corporate procedures relevant to the treatment laboratories.

Key Skills And Experience
  • Diploma in Chemistry and/or equivalent previous water or wastewater laboratory experience.
  • Relevant experience in laboratory operations and equipment calibration and maintenance.
  • Relevant experience in water related chemistry is desirable.
  • Experience with water or wastewater treatment processes is desirable.
  • C Class drivers licence desirable.
