We seek an experienced Return to Work Coordinator to join our Dry Creek Office on a permanent part-time basis working 2 days per week.

Reporting to the Return-to-Work Manager, your responsibility will be to implement early intervention practices to workplace and non-work-related injuries primarily for SA but also nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide support to employees following an incident to ensure they receive appropriate medical treatment including attending medical reviews as required
Lodge claims and wage reimbursement requests with the relevant insurance agent
Provide updates and support to management and supervisors in relation to medical restrictions and expected recovery time frames
Review pre-employment medicals and provide advice on the suitability to a proposed role
Monitoring and recording companywide health surveillance medicals
Manage non-work-related injuries are appropriate to eliminate aggravation
Ensure electronic files are maintained

Skills and Qualifications:
Experience as either a full-time Return to Work Coordinator or Case Manager in either self-insurance or for an agent essential
Current drivers’ licence and reliable vehicle
Return to Work Coordinator Certificate (desirable)
Experience managing difficult and complex claims with positive outcomes
Strong awareness and working knowledge of the Return-to-Work Act 2014
Understanding of worker’s compensation premiums, claims impacts, and strategies to reduce premiums via effective claims management.
The ability to work autonomously and work well under pressure
Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
Excellent Microsoft Office Suite knowledge (Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel)
Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities according to legislative timeframes and quality standards
Understanding of Workers Compensation Acts for QLD, NSW, NT, VIC, or WA is desirable but not essential
Experience in HR (desirable)
