About the role

Newly created position within our national Learning & Development team based in Alice Springs. This is a 12 month maximum term contract, three days a week where the days and hours are flexible. You will support the Northern Territory L&D team and the Business Managers to effectively onboard new employees and support the quality improvement initiatives related to L&D in the Northern Territory. Your customer service approach and effective coordination skills will be key to your success. This is a great opportunity to kick start your career in Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with relevant stakeholders including Talent & Attraction, line managers and Roster Officers to successfully onboard new employees, including the coordination of induction and mandatory training activities
  • Provide local L&D administrative support for the effective delivery of training programs
  • Coordinate meeting and training requirements including catering, room, equipment and learning resources/documentation preparation
  • Book flights, car hire and accommodation for the L&D team
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry of training records and produce reports as required

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a fast paced administration position where customer service is imperative
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative, effective time management and organisational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate technical information to our staff and carers
  • Ability to use initiative in the work place and demonstrate problem solving skills
  • Align with Life Without Barriers’s key values

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
