  • Fixed-term (through to June 2023), Part-time role (68.4 hours per fortnight)

  • Salary: $83,608 per annum (pro-rata) + super

We are currently seeking Senior Family Support Workers to join an exciting new project – Homeless Mothers and Babies (HMB). The HMB project will offer a pathway out of homelessness for pregnant women and new mothers. It aims to assist mothers to enhance the health and wellbeing outcomes for themselves and their babies, access support services, gain independence and break the cycle of homelessness.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary, multi-agency approach, you will support pregnant women and new mothers who have been homeless for up to 12 months. The support provision will deliver enhanced case management, mentoring, advocacy, opportunities, information and referral pathways to help break the cycle of homelessness.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant tertiary qualification in human services, and direct experience in the delivery of services to clients with complex needs, who are pregnant and experiencing homelessness. You will have the ability to work therapeutically with pregnant women and new mothers who are experiencing housing stress and have a trauma history. You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated experience building positive relationships with people of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
