JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently seeking experienced Assessment Officers to join our State Government client, commencing ASAP.
The Role
Working within the Resolution Services team, the primary function of the role will be to assess complaints in regard to defective building works and investigate, assess and determine claims.
Responsibilities May Include But Not Limited To
- Investigate and assess complaints about building works and insurance claims; review relevant legislation, policy conditions, guidelines and procedures and make determinations on consumer entitlements.
- Provide advise to Senior Assessment Officers in regard to dispute resolutions.
- Monitor, review and report on the insurance schemes performance.
- Undertake general duties that contribute to the ongoing improvement of the Resolution Services team.
To be successful in this role you will be required to demonstrate the following:
- Knowledge of or demonstrated ability to rapidly gain a thorough understanding the range of Legislation, Acts, Codes of Conduct etc.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate sound investigative, analytical, problem solving and decision making skills including planning and organising an on-going caseload.
- Knowledge of the Building and Construction and/or Insurance industries will be highly regarded.
