Our client is a leading provider of superannuation consulting and research services to the superannuation, life insurance and investments industries. The business has an impressive record of providing top level consulting and advice to their clients and being at the forefront of industry change. The business assists clients manage the challenges these regulatiory changes have created.

The business is looking for Consultants to provide quality advice and consulting with the goal of improving business outcomes and enabling clients to achieve their strategic goals. This is a role where no 2 days will be the same and the diversity of work available across the firm ensures the activities of each consultant are interesting and challenging.

You will wear 2 hats in this role - providing insight through analysis and working directly with clients. The nature of the work includes a range of technical and actuarial services as well as services such as service provider reviews/tenders, product design and benchmarking.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Identify opportunities for business growth and win assignments
  • Prepare proposals and manage client projects
  • Lead and mentor team members
  • Apply deep skills in areas of technical expertise such as actuarial, project management, advice models, retirement solutions, investment services or platforms
  • Analyse data, identify and communicate key insights
  • Oversee work and calculations conducted by Analysts
  • Prepare reports and present results to clients and colleagues
  • Keep up to date with market trends and legislation and contribute to business thought leadership
  • Contribute to the development of our services and research and go to market strategy
  • Where appropriate, build and manage trusted client relationships

Candidate Requirements;

  • Detailed knowledge of superannuation and an understanding of market trends and development
  • Business development and client relationship capabilities
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to assist clients through innovation and thought leadership
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to set a project budget and manage to that budget
  • Strong people management skills and a team player
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Expert in interpreting data and communicating insights
  • Relevant qualifications - being a Fellow of the Actuaries Institute, or having an MBA or CFA would be an advantage
  • An existing network of industry contacts would be looked upon favourably
