Your Role:

In this part-time role you’ll provide specialist meteorological and oceanography information, forecasts and advice to deployed forces at sea.

This is a shore-based role where you’ll assess the above and below water physical operating environment to determine the greatest strategic, operational and tactical advantage.

You’ll provide advice to Navy Command to support exercises and operations. You’ll also provide information, services and support to aviation squadrons and other national agencies to meet the ADF’s requirement for military operations and strategic planning.

For this role, you must hold a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Mathematics, Physics or a Physical Science and hold a graduate Diploma in Meteorology or equivalent qualification, accredited by the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO). You need to be an Australian Citizen and able to meet the minimum security, medical and fitness requirements.
