In this role, you will lead curriculum focus in line with school and departmental initiatives and participate in delivering the vision of State Schools Division. The successful candidate will develop the quality of teaching and learning and nurture positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders.

About Bundaberg North State High School
Bundaberg North State High School has a population of approximately 800 students from years 7 to 12. At North, we are very conscious to acknowledge positive student behaviour. Public recognition is given to individuals and student groups who are making a positive contribution to the school.
We place great importance on developing strong co-operative partnerships with parents. As well as traditional Senior Academic Subjects, the school offers a range of choices in the Senior courses to suit a range of interests and abilities.
Your Role
Head of Department - Curriculum the successful applicant will:
- Provide leadership and guidance for the implementation of innovative measures aimed at improving student learning outcomes and attendance to re-engage students in positive ways
- Utilise strong curriculum and pedagogical knowledge, data literacy and ability to differentiate learning programs to influence the work of classroom teachers and to develop individual learning plans and programs for students
- Be a critical link between students, teachers and families to develop positive relationships, mutual respect and achieve planned success indicators
- Build capacity of other school members to improve outcomes for students
- Facilitate a coordinated school response for students identified as disengaging from school, and develop strategies to re-engage students in a positive manner through a philosophy of inclusion and the belief that every student can and will achieve at high levels when expectations are established
A mandatory requirement of this role is:
- Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland. For more information please CLICK HERE.
